iLiveMath Entomology uses the study of insects plus arachnids (spiders) as an engaging theme to teach math word problems to levels 1st to 7th grade.

Levels 1, 2, and 3 cover a series of word problems which introduce ~100 photographs and ~40 videos. Family-friendly videos are filtered from Youtube. The natural language engine will generate an estimated 1 million possible word problem and answer combinations so there is no guessing. Each test exam and each problem will be different. Each level progressively tests the students basic knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and basic geometry. Questions and Answers can be mailed and blogged for record keeping by tapping the silver button showing the question number tally.

iLiveMath 4.x platform: Maryland and Chicago schools have asked us if they could project our app in a classroom for group collaboration. So in this latest platform the app now supports the ability to project the photo and word problem to an external display through the "Apple iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter". The controls remain on the iPad. The teacher/parent is also given the answer on the iPad. Note that videos are not projected to an external display only the word problem and photographs. We are working on enhancing this feature with each release to support the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch. This feature is fairly new so if you see anomalies please contact [email protected].

Also based upon multiple parents the Twitter feature has been removed.
